  • The award-winning bar formerly known as Dusk has been taken under the wing of the people behind Lost Society and turned into a venue that morphs from boozer to restaurant to late-night bar. It’s a bit urban, it’s a bit edgy, but don’t fret: it’s Battersea, afterall.

In an interior designed with eclectic abandon, chandeliers and trombone lights hang from the ceiling, and a white telephone box doubles up as a greenhouse. Walls are decked in forestscape wallpaper, mini-mirrors and an imposing portrait of Her Majesty the Queen, Gawd bless her. The adjacent dining room is equally decorous and the garden, currently in the throes of renovation, seems a choice summer spot. Service, it must be said, was impeccable.

The cocktail list is an advert for enlightened imbibing, taking in Lost-inspired libations, classics, old drinks from Dusk and a selection of quintessentially British efforts. It also dabbles in draught with three, frequently rotated real ales dished out in dimpled jugs, bottled ciders and brews from beyond including Budvar, Carlton Cold and Leffe Blonde. There’s a well-conceived wine list too.

The food offerings are overseen by chef Anthony Hicks, à la carte choices include confit of duck, foie gras and langoustine goujons while, in the bar, there are simpler snacks and burgers for less than a tenner. During the week, get a cocktail and two courses for £20, with roasts on a Sunday. The entertainment includes quirky ‘Google safe’ quiz every Wednesday, cocktail masterclasses, comedy nights, live music and DJs regularly working the platters that matter.

And the regulars? There were people there. Some were men, some were women. They were mostly youngish. Some wore jeans, there was a dress or two. Everyone wore shoes. You know, just everyday folk living their lives, talking about bats. They’re not blind after all, and they eat their body weight in insects every night. What’s more, they pollinate the plants from which tequila is made. Bats are cool.

Had a great night at the Lost Angel last weekend. The daiquiris went down a treat, the bartenders were all very good and chatty. I'll be there again this weekend!

Wow, what a great new bar!! me and some friends went last friday night...we danced and drank the night away! with three bars, two inside and one in the garden, we never had to wait long to get served. the garden is as beautiful as the inside and they give out blankets on cold nights. all the staff were helpful and full of banter! it was the first time in a long time when we all went out and all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. thanks!!

My friends threw me a surprise party at The Lost Angel for my 30th. The venue is amazing! Great food, great cocktails and hot staff! The DJ was pumpin out some stuff I've never heard before, it had everbody dancing and feeling good! It was the best night out I've had in ages, and I've already been back since! And I will definitely continue to do so!

Love this bar will definately recommend Lost Angel for a bar eating drinking experience. Also they have really good events on and in if you are lucky to have some sunny weather then you definately have to try their barbeque on the terrace. Decoration is sumptuous and very quirky, I continually find myself drawn to the white telephone box that is located inside the bar and the light shades that are made out of musical instruments lots of thought has gone into this innovative bar! A MUST SEE! :)

Me and a group of friends went to the Lost Angel on Wednesday evening, because we'd heard about their great pub quiz. We turned up and were greeted with a friendly smile! The service was friendly and professional all night, the waitresses knew all about their menu (which was new that day!) All the food was delicious, especially the gnocchi and the chocolate brownie!! Their "hours of happiness" are fab!! Cheap, yummy cocktails to start the night off! The quiz was great fun too. I'll definitely be going back, I can't wait for the weekend!!

Have been to the Lost Angel twice now, once during the week for the great British pub quiz and food and once at the weekend for a friend’s party. Can honestly say what a great place it is and would defiantly recommend it to others. The staff are fantastic, top serves with really tasty food and some of the best cocktails I have tried and I like my cocktails so that says a lot. The music at the weekend it makes a change to the norm you hear everywhere with a eclectic mix that had me and my friends dancing all night (warning your feet may hurt a little the next day but it was well worth)  .
