London's best review, food and drink news
It's unusual to see a landlord's name plastered on the front of a pub, but then there aren't many like Kevin Moran left in the trade. The Nag's Head reflects Moran's exuberant eccentricity, both by design (mobiles are banned; the walls are cluttered with everything from cartoons to baseball reports, garden tools to vintage penny-slots) and, most strikingly, by accident (the rooms could scarcely be wonkier, one stepped awkwardly above the other with a bar that somehow serves them both). The ale is from Adnams and only OK, but the appeal of this place isn't really to do with the beer.
