London's best review, food and drink news
Dating back to the 18th century, the Orange Brewery, regrettably, no longer makes its own beer in the basement, but reminders of its industrious past remain with brewing paraphernalia strewn across the maroon walls. Nowadays, the main draw of this slightly shabby boozer is its unpretentious feel and reasonable prices despite its location amid the organic delis and bespoke furniture shops of Pimlico Road. A glass of pinot grigio from the - conspicuously French-averse - wine list is a mere £3.20; a hearty plate of steak and chips can be had for just £6.99 in the more attractive, wood-panelled dining room next door.
