The Far Side's garish exterior may hint at debauchery within, but its crowd is rather more sedate. Expect largely middle aged regulars of a weekday evening and parents bouncing toddlers on their knees on Saturday afternoons. The wine list is fairly short and the draught selection is nothing to write home about. Bottled beers, however, encompass cherry and strawberry varieties of Belle-Vue Kriek, Brahma and two Franziskaners. Head for the dimly lit back room snug where leather sofas and a cosy fireplace make a pleasant spot for tucking into a Sunday roast.
