Tired of poky little London pubs? Then head down to this buttermilk-yellow west London landmark where space is definitely not at a premium. It's a Fuller's establishment (London Pride, ESB, Chiswick, Discovery) and sticks to the traditional mould with sepia-tinted gold-framed photographs showing off its former glory as a Victorian hotel. Good use of the space is made with a huge main bar and a separate cosier sitting room and sports bar. If you're still suffering from cabin fever, beautiful arched windows give out onto a terrace with stairs down to an enormous grassy beer garden surrounded by trees.
