Point 101
Arrive around closing time to make the most of the late licence and you might just wish you were on the nightbus instead. Just beyond the profusion of bouncers, the young, drunken punters have mostly already danced themselves down to a lascivious jiggle. Those still having fun would be as happy in an airport, given some booze and music played a little too loud. But during happy hour (5-9pm) the music’s mellower, the drinkers more mixed, and the retro-futurist furniture that gets corralled behind the bar later on spreads over the whole space. One side of laminated A4 does the drinks – lacklustre beer, wine at £8.50 and cocktails easily bettered for £6.50. Outside seats appeal to exhaust-fume addicts.
