Set well off the main drag, this is definitely a those-in-the-know local. Loads of gentlemen's club style leather sofas with hairy cushions and stacks of board games make this a fine place for weekend lounging, but the slightly over-lit atmosphere during the week means lingering is less likely. The bar staff, however, do a fine job of manning pumps of Harveys Best, Batemans Hooker, Old Rosie Scrumpy, Amstel, Guinness and San Miguel. There's always a £2 pint of ale deal before 7pm during the week, which implies that those who frequented the place prior to the revamp remain well catered for. Quite right too.

v cool pub!! - great music and yummy food. Wanted to chill there all day
This pub has been completely renovated and I recently went there for my first time. It took me twenty mins to get there and was well worth it!! The whole decor is perfect- both cosy and contemporary.
Great sofas, flat screen tvs and a whole loungey area that I could take up residence in for at least a week!!
There was a very trendy crowd and bar staff were super friendly.
Needless to say I have found myself a 'not so local' local and tomorrow I will be hitting the pie cart!
