Since spawning this simple concept more than a decade ago, this bar-cum-pool hall has seen the family spread to Shoreditch and Islington, Bristol and Leeds. This Westbourne Grove original set the trend, though, the authentic model being predominately purple and American in style. Seven full-sized tables ensure a good evening’s entertainment, although it’s pretty busy at weekends and competition nights (7pm Monday). Large drape curtains separate the baize action from the comfortable booths, where you can sip a draught Korenwolf or a decent bottle of La Roche viognier (£12). There’s a long list of cocktails and shooters, including a watermelon martini for £5.90. Food is of the superior burger and bar snacks variety, broadening the appeal to both sexes.
