For many visitors to Clapham Common, Bar Local is a first port of call. It's a mere five-yard stumble from the tube, so when the Common hosts festivals like Get Loaded in the Park revellers spill out onto the street. It doesn't help that it's tiny either. Inside, the walls are plastered with local art, DJs spin tunes at the end of the bar and the friendly staff do a fine job of keeping things moving. The floor and booths are starting to show their age, but if you like dance music and pretension-free vibes, this is a worthwhile find.
