A brisk walk uphill from the station takes you to this backstreet Victorian gastropub conversion. The somewhat clichéd rustic kitchen decor is enlivened by a bar that looks like a set of cupboards. Cheery staff dispense good pints of Scrum Down! from Twickenham Fine Ales, and Hogs Back TEA. A mishmash of wooden tables and chairs, large antique rugs and bookcases keep the atmosphere informal. The smart young post-work crowd enjoy modern British cuisine in the adjoining restaurant room, or quaff quality wines from a well-chosen list.

I am up for new experiences, otter catching, you name it, if I haven't done it and it sounds interesting, Ill join you.
On 2 occasions we failed to receive food ordered after 25 minutes, in spite of an empty bar, 2 chefs and 2 bar persons, plus one off-duty bar person eating her lunch at the bar. The few other customers had drinks only. We left unfed.
