Very swish this, but not too swish that it can’t offer cheap lunchtime deals on food and wine. Park yourself on a low black seat or comfy divan amid a modern interior overlooking St Martin’s, order an £8 bottle of plonk and you’re away. The 20 vintages are in the £13-£15 range, nearly all available by the glass. Classier choices include a Bodegas Mureza, Rioja Vega Blanco (£5.25/£22) and South African Groote Post merlot (£6.50/£32). It’s a cocktail bar too, very much so, with a large selection (£6.95-£7.95) categorised by spirit base. You’ll be mixed 42 Below and passionfruit in the caipiroska 42, Cariel Vanilla and Frangelico Hazelnut in the chocolate martini and Wokka saké, Amaretto and ginger beer in the Weekend Away.
