The key to this attractive, candlelit corner pub is its location, just far enough from Upper Street to be off the pub-crawler radar. That's not to say it's quiet. The upbeat crowd - verging on raucous - sups standard draught beers, bottles (Corona, Beck's, Duvel) and so-so cocktails (£6.50, also available by the jug) to a background of property chat (local estate agents feature heavily). Key sporting fixtures are shown and decent pub grub includes tapas (£4), sausages and mash (£11) and clam chowder (£6.75). If you want a table on weekend evenings, start camping out at noon.
