Queens has had its day - as the haunt of the Primrose Hill glitterati, that is. Which makes it all the more appealing to anyone wanting to flee the skinny-jeaned wannabes in the surrounding streets. Whereas the ground-floor bar has a cosy air, the restaurant upstairs has a slightly more decadent feel, with crimson wallpaper and a dining terrace that provides stupendous views. There's a reasonable selection of real ales and beer (Young's Ordinary and Special, Bombardier and unusual guests), knowledgeable staff, and good food like corn-fed chicken with coconut-scented gravy (£12).
