Cricket, well-chosen ales and a children's selection on the dining menu - this could easily be a pub on the village green. Instead, it's tucked down a quiet Greenwich backwater street. That is not to say it's undiscovered, though; a stream of SE10 locals pass by for a pint of Shepherd Neame Spitfire, Master Brew, Bishops Finger or Kent's Best (Oranjeboom and Holsten are also on offer) and a pizza (£7.50-£8) and a natter in the neat backroom. Wine has also been carefully chosen. The pub first XI get a decorative look-in, along with a rather splendid mural of Greenwich cartography and less impressive album covers from the 1970s.
