Sitting opposite Ealing Studios, the Red Lion was the pub of choice for cast and crew in its glory days, and apart from a distinct lack of famous drinkers not much has changed. Black and white photographs of celluloid stars line the walls and on our visit the handsome white fronted building boasted all the classic pub hallmarks, with Fuller's ales, an indefinable musty smell and colourful locals who would fit perfectly in an Ealing comedy. The bar has cosy nooks for quiet drinks and opens out onto a pretty high walled garden with tables and umbrellas for smokers and sunny days.
