London's best review, food and drink news
Like its counterpart restaurant next door, this simple, smart yet informal bar is resolutely, almost fiercely proud of its Gallic DNA. The French staff will nonchalantly serve you beer from one of the cluster of Kronenbourg pumps - the only non-French beer on tap being Guinness - or you can select from one of the myriad Burgundy and Loire Valley whites, or Bordeaux and Rhone Valley reds before settling down to watch the football or rugby - the other priorities here - on TF1. Unsurprisingly, given the quality of the food next door, the bar menu is worth perusing; onion soup, baguettes, croque monsieur and snails all feature.
