London's best review, food and drink news
This gastropub has got it covered whatever the season, with lots of snug corners for winter boozing sessions and a compact back garden, brimming with potted and wall-growing plants, for alfresco drinking and dining in the sun. Upmarket, clean cut and tasteful (though the arty black and white photographs adorning the walls verge on corny), the Fentiman attracts well-spoken City boys and shiny haired career blondes who'd rather hide out with a decent bottle of wine and a plate of good food than face the mean streets of SW8 of an evening. The Sunday menu is particularly mouth-watering, featuring grilled sea bass and courgette risotto alongside the usual roasts.
