If it wasn't for the trouble that wearing a bikini and sarong on the mean streets of Stockwell could cause, a sunny afternoon spent at one of the pavement tables outside this fabulous bar/ restaurant would feel like a week on the Algarve. As you sup on a cold Portuguese beer (Super Bock, £1.80 a bottle) gruff waistcoated waiters amble past, laden with perfectly presented shellfish for tables of boisterous Portuguese locals. Inside, the deli counter is heavy with cream cakes and the infamous custard tarts. A real must-visit.
