  • Eating & drinking Bars & pubs
  • Is it a pub or is it a restaurant? Thats the question on everyones lips. In our humble opinion, it triumphs as both, with a delicious choice of lagers and ales (from the St Peters brewery), wines and food all organic. At the front is a large, atmospheric saloon; to the rear, a traditional dining room. The crowd here tends to be on the mature side, and staff can be slightly snotty; it wasnt a pretty sight when we saw someone (shock horror!) try to order a pint of Grolsch. Thats more than made up for by the quality of the beer, however. The refurbishment that occurred last March seemed to be little more than a new lick of paint but really, why mess with a winning formula?
