A recent facelift has left Candy Bar working the glam princess look with pink disco balls adorning the skinny main bar - but still (annoyingly) too few seats. Cruisier than the QM2 on Friday and Saturday nights, with pole dancing in the bijou basement, the original lesbian bar really does take its sexuality seriously. Drink prices are fairly average, with Candy Classic cocktails (£6) the tipple of choice and one of London's longest happy hours (Thur-Sat 5-7pm, Sun-Wed all night) boasting shots at £2. An 'anytime offer' dishes up two double vodka and Red Bulls for £12.50. Perhaps they should have called it the 'anyone's for £12.50 offer'... Yep, it's a definite booze-fest. Wear flats for the stagger home.
