'This public house is dedicated to the friendship between Britons and Canadians', says the sign. Inside, a recent refurb has kept the log-cabin atmosphere which, with a Mountie's uniform and ice-hockey paraphernalia, fosters warm bonhomie. Brits and Canucks can seal the deal over draught Sleeman or Labatt, a bottle of Moosehead, or a small (£4.50) or large (£6.99) portion of ML's 'famous chicken wings'. As well as other specialities such as Quebec poutine and lumberjack meatloaf, the menu lists a serious selection of mains (28-day-matured rump steak, £8.75) sure to keep the wolf from the door.

I think because I am friendly, warm and open minded person with good sense of humor. I am always up for trying new things amd you never can be...
I love the Maple Leaf. It has been one of my favorite places to eat, drink and be merry since I moved to London. The poutine is amazing, and I often find myself craving it!! The Canadian beer makes me feel a bit closer to home (although they don't serve Molson Canadian anymore! :( ) This is one of our favorite haunts! The poutine is now some of my British friends favorites as well!! The Canadian decorations, and hockey make me feel right at home! The only negative is that it gets a little crowded and noisy at game night. I do love this place though!!A++++++++++++
This place is awful! My girlfriend had one of the poutines, and said that she could not eat it, it was so bad; and we are from montreal, and have had a few bad poutines. Not only this, but when we tried to talk to the manager, he started out by 'very maturely' ignoring us, and then said that there was no option, and that we had to pay for the meal, of which she eaten nothing! He talked aggresively with her, and was quite confrontational with me. I was sincerely disppointed, especially if this was to be a representation of "Britons and Canadians" friendship.
