London's best review, food and drink news
This is the kind of space that really shouldn't work in posh Notting Hill, but, thankfully, does. It's not fancy; in fact, it's quite battered around the edges, and only accommodates a few hundred people - if everyone gets up close and personal, that is. But despite its diminutive proportions, the club has some of the best far-flung sounds in town. Seb Chew and Leo Greenslade's YoYo, the crate-diggin' soul and funk night at which Lily Allen caused mayhem before she was famous, is held every Thursday; Alan McGee Death Disco kicks Wednesdays into submission with bands and indie DJs.
