London's best review, food and drink news
It's hard to know quite who this place is aimed at: it's too far from any of the major rail terminals or theatres for the bridge-and-tunnel crowd, and hardly somewhere you'd come to for a relaxing drink if you're actually staying at the Hilton. The interior is uncompromising South Pacific kitsch, down to the waitresses swathed in batik (who didn't look especially happy about it on our visit). The cocktail list is acceptably long and, for this part of town, reasonably priced: our mai tai came in at £8.50, though it was on the sickly sweet side.
