There are few more indulgent pleasures than whiling away a couple of hours in a pub with a good book. But what about drinking in a bookshop? Set on the fifth floor of Waterstone's, this unexpected establishment offers weary readers the chance to find out. The views are pretty good, if not quite as good as you'd expect given the name; the cocktails are decent; and the list of beers is admirably long, running from Negra Modelo to Special Brew ('enjoyed by those who pursue the park life', jests the menu). Despite this, though, the atmosphere doesn't amount to much: this might be a nice novelty, but it's a novelty all the same.
