  • One of several in central London, this particular Blue Posts in the heart of Soho's gay quarter is professionally run and amiably staffed. Guests, gay and straight, old and young, enjoy a choice of Timothy Taylor Landlord, Old Speckled Hen, Peetermans Artois, London Pride, Hoegaarden and Leffe on draught, with £3.50 baguettes and £5 omelettes (try the hangover-killing Blue Posts special, with minced beef and onion). Other mains (fish and chips, curry) are also reasonably priced. Rooms upstairs and in the back accommodate the late-week overflow of punters from the cabin-like main space.
