  • Few gay venues in Soho attract quite as diverse a crowd as the Green Carnation. Downstairs is your standard Soho gay bar, complete with house music and beautiful Brazilian bar staff. Upstairs is where it gets really interesting. The venue is dedicated to the spirit of Oscar Wilde, whose quotes adorn the green and gold lacquered walls. Against this decadent backdrop you'll find pianists, singers and even a gay literary salon night called Polari (second Tuesday monthly). Fridays is Wilde Ones with music producer Tris Penna providing 'music for aesthetes'.
