  • The Crown has been serving regulars and travellers alike since the 1740s; previous incarnations would have seen stagecoaches roll up for business where now there are 4x4s. Rugby fans take their seats inside for ale and big screen sport, while media types herd shrill children around the patio garden out front. The rugby theme continues with Swing Low heading the pumps. Theakston Best, Greene King IPA and London Pride hold up the rear along with Foster's and Hoegaarden. Pleasingly, the busy wine list is very reasonable, to the point that even champagne is guilt free - Lanson at £27.50? Magic.
