  • This perfectly located watering hole on the edge of the heath has been providing well-earned sustenance for the best part of 400 years. The crowd lean towards ruddy-cheek-and-tweed types who see their Sunday constitutional as a means to an end - the end being a foaming pint with the broadsheets. Food offerings are fairly standard but the pumps are well stacked; Greene King IPA, Flowers, Abbot, Hoegaarden, Strongbow, Heineken and Guinness are all here as well as some bottled Leffe and a reasonably priced wine list.
