Busy with people seeking refreshment after afternoon lazing in neighbouring Greenwich Park, the GPB&G has yet to find its feet where a regular after-dark clientele is concerned. It's an Inc bar - that is, under the same umbrella as almost every prominent venue in Greenwich - so the drinks selection is decent. Franziskaner, Boddingtons and Leffe are the picks on draught, while many of the three-dozen cocktails (most under £6) have a tropical flavour and there are ice-cream varieties too.

My (attempt at) lunch at the Greenwich Park Bar & Grill today was so bad, I felt it necessary to divulge the experience to those considering doing the same. If you’ve not been, they provide a bar menu and a ‘homemade’ menu - warning that the latter requires longer time to prepare. I went for a veggie burger from the ‘fast’ bar menu – looking for a quick turnaround. And so it began… It took 45 minutes to arrive, and was lukewarm. Having alerted the waitress of this, they set to work putting together a second attempt. This second attempt had bacon in it – a fatal flaw in a veggie meal. Alas, we decided to leave and cancelled the order. The experience seemed adequately terrible to warrant some form of compensation, but this did not seem to resonate with the manager. Upon persistent request they sulkily shaved off some of the bill as compensation.
Hopefully this was an unfortunate one off, but be warned!
