Inc is more than this rather smart, two-level cocktail and DJ lounge bar in Greenwich's covered market - it's also a dozen-strong empire of drinks outlets (Bar du Musée, see p163; Greenwich Park Bar & Grill, see left) clustered in the SE10 postcode. More recently, the group has installed an Inc Brasserie in the O2 Arena at the Dome. Inc Bar is, however, the jewel in the crown, as illustrated by the images of rare stones that are part of Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's borderline kitsch design concept; decorative nods towards timepieces are another nice touch. The longest cocktail list in south-east London offers nearly three dozen classic and imaginatively mixed drinks using top-notch spirits, nearly all in the £6-£6.50 range: an apple and melon martini with Zubrowka vodka and Midori; a jamaican sunset with Appleton VS, sloe gin and fresh redcurrants; and an aphrodisiac with Stoli vanilla, Chartreuse and fresh ginger. Wines begin at £4/£14 and include a £45 Montmains Chablis, but most people in the mildly erotic upstairs rooms are more interested in eye contact than vintage labels.
