Bars & Pubs

  • Dulwich Wood House

  • Constructed in the mid 19th century as a private residence by Joseph Paxton (the architect of the Crystal Palace), the Dulwich Wood House has a quirkily friendly feel. Bottles include Young's Light Ale and Ramrod and a rotation of Young's specials, and there's Bombardier on the pumps. It's the Pimms and lemonade on tap that says it all, though. This is a prime spot to end up after a summer rummage through Dulwich Woods. Weekends find the wrap-around garden packed with pink-cheeked souls and should you fancy it, there's a good quiz on Tuesdays.
