The Grand Junction Arms belongs to a time when people would have passed out if you'd told them that in the future pubs would serve risotto. Tucked away in an industrial wasteland north of the A40 between warehouses and car parks, this boozer dishes out pints of Young's and Bombardier to young and old. Pictures of woodland animals and a dark red patterned carpet belong firmly to the old school. The front bar is spacious, with pool tables and fruit machines, and there's also a smaller lounge area and a more formal back bar. The Grand Junction comes into its own on warm days when the large beer garden with canal views can be enjoyed to the full.
