London's best review, food and drink news
Given its proximity to the Shepherd's Bush Empire, this cavernous bar/restaurant can be unnervingly quiet on weekday evenings. Perhaps it's the tucked away location down a bright alley off Goldhawk Road, or the ever-so-slightly dated industrial vibe, but the pre-gig crowd seems notable by its absence. A shame, really - the convivial banquette seating, spacious set up, fairy lights, large (and sheltered) outside area and super-friendly bar staff combine to make this a fantastic spot for a cocktail (ginger cosmopolitans, singapore slings and margaritas, all £7). Weekend nights see more action, as does the adjoining grill restaurant.

Genuinely rather happy with my lot in life but be lovely to meet a sassy, fun girl with a sharp mind.
