Sombre lighting, stags' heads, greyhound portraits and a '40s fruit machine create something of an antique shop feel at this gastro boozer. Other oddities on display include a chef's apron signed by Jamie Oliver and a signed print of Ian Brown. The friendly Irish staff serve up Bitburger, Adnams, John Smith's, San Miguel and Aspall Suffolk Cyder to patrons whose dedication might be rewarded by their own framed portrait photo on the wall. Traditional British food is served in the restaurant adjacent to the bar. Decent wines and a good range of aperitifs complete the picture.

It's so sad to see the Greyhound replaced by an 'American Diner'. It's now been gutted and completely made over for the worst. I'm never usually keen on American food and the only good thing on the menu would be the grills which is completely missing so your stuck with Mexican and burgers. The interior is terrible, no sign of any professional makeover what so ever here. Such a shame to see a beloved local pub turn into this!
