London's best review, food and drink news
This cavernous, bare-brick basement bar caters to an up-for-it crowd eager for fun and eye contact. Nine-to-fivers mingle around the main Geneva Bar before breaking out to the Vault and other alcove areas of greater intimacy. On the menu are 20 wines, a dozen by the glass, including a £3.55/£12.95 Italian sauvignon chardonnay and a Babich pinot noir (£24.95). Standard cocktails come by the glass (£6), seven by the jug (£16), and most prices drop by about a third between 5pm and 7pm. Early drinking encourages the consumption of burgers (£7) or fish finger sarnies (£3.50) as the night draws on.
