London's best review, food and drink news
With its low-key feel, quality beers, loungey seating and sociable clientele, this place makes the bar business look like child's play. They've certainly gone the extra mile on the beer front: you won't find a more varied or original selection anywhere in Clapham. Get your laughing gear around the likes of Sierra Nevada IPA and Blanche de Namur on tap; fridges, meanwhile, are bursting with bottles from Belgium, Holland, Australia, Germany, the US and the Czech Republic. Background noise is kept to a minimum making this a place geared more towards civilised chat than pumping basslines. All this attracts a committed crowd of regulars, but newcomers are swiftly welcomed into the fold.
