Like a true brasserie, this one is open all day, covering breakfast, supper and everything in between. Segregated bar and restaurant areas have a self-consciously contemporary look. The wine list is impressively extensive, with a wide selection, from both the Old World and New, by the glass; there are fair-priced cocktails, draught lagers served by the half-pint and a few bottled beers (including Kasteel Cru and Estrella) to choose from too. Groups of post-work parties dominated on our visit; the place occupies a prominent corner site near the Cut, and is obviously handy for both Waterloo station (just three minutes' walk away) and the Young and Old Vic theatres. May 2008 saw the welcome opening (not least for smokers) of an outside terrace.
