  • Just an empty Special Brew can's throw from the Holloway Road, this spruced-up boozer is all pine, adventurous colour clashes and swirly flock wallpaper. There's St Austell Tribute from Cornwall on tap and, should you prefer your beer made with bottom-fermenting yeast, Budweiser Budvar. Food is quintessentially English, freshly prepared pub grub carried off with a modern twist. There's open mic on Tuesdays, monthly wine tastings, plenty of board games, and, on our visit, talk at the bar was of the forthcoming (in association with CAMRA) beer festival.
