London's best review, food and drink news
Just off Chalk Farm Road, this Spanish wine bar (full name Bodega de Tapas) has nearly 50 top-notch tipples in stock, chosen from rising wine regions and top producers. The pick of sherries is more limited, though there is one PX dessert sherry available by the glass. Cruzcampo is the sole Spanish beer on tap. Food comes in the form of tapas (chargrilled chorizo in cava, £4.50) of variable quality. The unlikely location, in an area mostly patronised by twentysomething indie kids, may explain why it was so quiet on our visit - all the better if you fancy having a cavernous, two-storey room and two Spanish waitresses all to yourselves.
