Time Out has teamed up with tastelondon to offer you a fantastic one month free trial
The jukebox is excellent, and the regular DJs and live sessions are a draw; but this music-themed boozer has built its reputation on the B-list indie celebs who favour it. Irregular appearances from Shane MacGowan and Pete Doherty (both pals of owner Gerry O'Boyle from his days running Filthy McNasty's) seem to have inspired other Ryman-League indie celebs to pop in, and their presence has in turn attracted the teens who love them. The drinks are nearly as dreary as the staff, but the consumption of alcohol here is more about quantity than quality. On the last Thursday each month, a 1920s-themed dress-up night brings silent films, jazz, swing and motown.

It's ok, the jukebox isn't "amazing", and get there early if you don't want to stand! Staff are generally quite friendly.
