The Victoria's boxy exterior might not catch the eye during the day, but at night, warmly lit, it's a beacon of welcome on fashionably gloomy North Hill. Inside, bent awkwardly around an elongated bar, the pub is roughly divided into a family half and a boozers' half. One side has big tables, an upright piano and a play area for the kids (great rocking horse); the other offers a dartboard and smaller tables with more privacy. Ales include Greene King IPA, Bombardier and Spitfire. Crooners step up to the piano for 'Singalong Sundays' (weekly) and 'Sing Your Heart Out Saturdays' (twice monthly).
