This idiosyncratic, slightly scruffy pub, furnished with wooden tables, big mirrors, old posters and quirky bric-a-brac (like the enormous model aeroplanes hanging from the ceiling), manages to be most things to most punters. A well-stocked bar runs from real ales (London Pride, Discovery, Adnams Bitter) to wines, spirits and coffee; a no-nonsense menu (cod and chips, steak and Guinness pie with mustard mash) includes roasts on Sundays. There's a tiny theatre upstairs, a music quiz and, most important of all, a mellow atmosphere that attracts a mix of types and ages.

Hi there, easy going guy, that's looking to have fun and perhaps meet that special someone. I like going out and staying in. All the usual stuff:...

Went for Sunday lunch, which was excellent: well cooked and just the right amount. Didn't try the desserts ourselves but they looked nice. Nice atmosphere, a few outside tables in the sunshine and reasonable prices. A regular flow of customers but not rammed, and we're going again next week.
"..tiny theatre upstairs.." is such an understatement! The Rosemary Branch Theatre plays a HUGE role in London fringe theatre, having become an essential, vibrant venue for aspiring musicals, dance shows, comedy acts, plays and much more. Run by the consumate showbiz professionals Cecilia Darker and Cleo Sylvestre, the "Rosie" attracts big name visitors - long may it do so!
