  • Having Richmond Green as a beer garden is an obvious pull; the crack of leather on willow is the soundtrack for alfresco drinkers in summer. Despite creaky floorboards, this is a modern pub - there's a fruit machine and Sky Sports. Head upstairs for a wonderful view over the Green. Draught beers include Greene King IPA and Ruddles County, and the 18 types of burger that once graced the menu have been edged out by an arguably more fashionable list of pies.

    Very nice staff and clean decent pub-nice range of beers. Most welcoming atmosphere. Live music is great and should be more often.
