You could be forgiven for thinking the Potter - an unreconstructed boozer complete with heavy red upholstery and dark wood furniture - had been teleported on to this well heeled stretch of the King's Road from outer space by mischievous aliens. In fact, the one-room pub has been a local institution for decades and, rumour has it, was formerly patronised by the Rolling Stones. The corner location, tall stools and high windows make it a veritable bird hide for watching toffs going about their shopping; turn around and a world of cask ales, fish and chips (£6.99) and sport on the telly awaits.
