  • 'Mark Plays Good House Music' said the sandwich board outside - and indeed he did. This tiny venue on Brick Lane follows the DJ bar template to the letter: front section of squishy sofas, amid cream and red Aztec wallpaper stylings; bar in the middle dispensing cocktails and a scant handful of beers; unfurnished area in front of the DJ for dance ramblings when the alcohol versus time equation finds its happy solution. Cocktails are a mixed bag - the caipirinha delivered a solid punch, sloe tequila (sloe gin, tequila, lime) was too astringent - but staff and clientele were equally charming.
