London's best review, food and drink news
During the day this east London institution is a quiet place filled with high chairs, good coffee, Thai food and continental vibes. By night, however, myriad club nights in the two buzzing back rooms see everyone, from chin-stroking music industry types to hedonistic Hoxtonites, descend for eclectic programming: Polish hip hop? Dubstep? Join the (hefty) queue. The gigs, including the delightfully named Let Them Eat Gak series, are also winners. Pete Doherty seems to play here about once a week.
