London's best review, food and drink news
Housed in part of a converted warehouse, the latest branch of the Dion mini-chain (named after the Greek god of wine Dionysus) makes the most of its features with lots of exposed brick and nightclub-style scrubbed black tiling. Wine and, particularly, champagne are the drinks of choice for the nine-to-five clientele; try the Jacquart Brut Mosaïque, rich, balanced and one of the more affordable bubbly options. You'll need a few drinks inside you to deal with some of the punters - on our recent visit a Stephen Mangan lookalike was flashing his credit card and braying loudly by the bar. Sadly, par for the course during the week in these parts, but weekend opening (planned for summer) will change that.
