Partner to the Notting Hill establishment of the same name, BBB east is well situated a stone's throw from both the swanky Loungelover bar and Les Trois Garçons restaurant. Sophisticated bling is the look here: it's all gleaming metal and reflective surfaces designed to catch the light. There are giant lamps mounted on the walls, mini chandeliers set atop the white marble bar, silver candelabra on the wooden tables and retro-modernist drop lights in the raised dining area at the rear of the room. Repro classical statues add a humorous note (one is girded with white feathers), but style and opulence are key, as the bar menu emphasises. It's heavy on cocktails (house, champagne and classic), upmarket wines and champagnes and deluxe spirits (a bottle of Richard Hennessey St Louis Decarrier cognac is a snip at £3,605). Beware the cheeky 12.5% 'service charge' - added to your bill even if you sit at the bar.
