Light manages the unusual trick of being a damn sight groovier when it's quiet and you can savour the hip grandeur of its cavernous main room, exposed brickwork complemented by the old winch on the ceiling. On busy evenings, by contrast, you can't move for booze-hungry drones, who celebrate the end of the day by invading each others' personal space and shouting loudly. Shame, really, because there are a number of high points, from the large beer garden and lengthy wine list to the loft-style top floor and balcony, which hosts the odd proper rave-up and lots of funky house. Developers have their eye on this place, so get there while you can.
