  • Affordable Champagne bar in Soho

  • An offshoot of the popular champagne bar in Parsons Green, this Soho branch of Amuse Bouche continues the remit of providing quality fizz at low prices. The neutral, contemporary surroundings, not unlike an All Bar One, make it friendly and casual, although some might find having the football on downstairs (in the basement function room) and the smell of chips incompatible with a bottle of Bollinger. Starting with house champagne Bouché Père et Fils Brut NV at £5 per glass (plus 12.5% service), the 50-strong list then rises up through the ranks of big-name brands. Pretty much all cost under £50 a bottle, though some great vintages – notably Pol Roger Cuvée Winston Churchill ‘96 (£130) and Krug ‘96 (£200) – rise into the stratosphere, where you’ll also find Cristal magnums (£750). Most commendable is the effort to include several lesser-known houses, a few at under £8.50 a glass, meaning it’s possible to experiment without financial ruin. Champagne cocktails (from £5) are crisp and fruity. Staff are friendly and keen to help, even if they don’t always know their stuff. It doesn’t seem to bother the chattering girls and suits who love this place.

Went to this place for a girly night out and it fits the bill perfectly. The champagne was very reasonably priced and my friend was able to book a table in advance. We were going to head onto a club afterwards but were enjoying it so much we stayed the whole night. I always struggle to know where to go when I’m out in central London but this place is a real gem

Apart from the very reasonably priced bubbly's we struggled to note anything good about this venue. The decor is near identical to All Bar One, very blahh. The music is far too loud. The place is small almost cramped. Perhaps we were expecting better after reading the rave reviews here.
Plenty of better options within 5 min's walk for a drink, bite and catch up with friends after work or before night-out. This place is over-rated enough for me to key this. Second star is a generous nod to a reasonable price list.

What a fantastic venue! I was a guest at a function there at the end of last year and we were all treated impeccably.
It was the first time I had been there but I have to say I have been back a couple of times since! It is excellent for a bit of 'post Oxford St' drinking too! Good champagne cocktails and decent service. Top marks guys. Highly recommended.

Nice selection of champagne cocktails, too bad mine was taken away by some waiter before I'd even finished it. Another waiter was aggressive and very rude to us when we didn't want to order any more drinks.
Very cosy bar but very bad service and unfortunately, it was an unpleasant experience.

Based in what was Porters Bar from a few years ago (ignoring the weird Indian it turned into for a couple of years) this was a great find. The bar itself was decorated with Champagne boasting French posters which added to the ambience. The drinks list was extensive without being over priced.
The service was, for the most part, very friendly, although the quip that "my mouth was most certainly entertained" (being that Amuse Bouche means to enterain the mouth having seen it the definition on the TV recently, I'm not that well versed!) was lost on my hostess. Some very lively cocktails, big on vanilla flavoured drinks to offset the sharpness of the champagne, where all lovely.
Considering £50 was spent on a traditional Moet the night before, for £50 in here, you could have had a much much nicer tipple.
All the tables were resereved for later on, indicating a place in demand.
Service could be quicker, but they were making a lot of cocktails.
All told a lovely spot and I'm so glad what was an old favourite venue has such a strong offering in there now.
Looking forward to the next excuse to go there again. I recommend it highly.

Excellent bar with a great atmosphere. Knowledgable, well-trained staff and a sane price list. All good!

Wow - this is really unmissable! A magnificent idea for a bar - staff here are all pretty friendly and seem to know their stuff and you just won't believe the prices. It was rammed when i went last week - Champagne flowed non-stop till the end of the night. One of the best evenings I have had in a long time
